Bleu Loves Andre J

Bleu Magazine loves Andre J. He's a big ball of sunshine and Christmas rolled into one. He is currently featured on the cover of French Vogue (Paris, not Homme) and has the distinction of being only the SECOND black male to grace their cover. The first being Diddy.

But as much as we love Diddy's hustle, we admire Andre's drive even more.

Andre J has been taking the fashion world by storm. His recent French Vogue cover and fabulous lifestyle has everyone talking. A few nights ago, we celebrated his continued success (with out the least bit of jealousy) at Runway. Michael Musto (Village Voice), Malcolm Harris (Mal Sirrah), DJ Cassidy, Codie Rovioli, Oneal McNight, and De La Vega were just a few of the celebrated hosts and guests.

Oh yeah, JONTE Turned it out. :)

Enjoy the show.

Happy Thanksgiving from Bleu Party

Hello Bleu Crew!

If you are anything like the rest of NYC (busy transplants with more appointments than shoes and more shoes than jeans) you are , at this very moment, rapidly filling your Thanksgiving day(s) off with set after set after set.

I mean, I dinners with 3 different cliques already planned (uhm, make me a plate - Dex Star G).

But after all that, I know I'm gonna want to get crunk and work off some of them Turkey day lbs.....

So after After spending the day with the family, come and celebrate all that you have to be thankful for with your OTHER family :)

Breaking into Fashion

On Sunday, November 11th, 2007 , Bleu Magazine attended an excellent event entitled “BREAKING INTO FASHION” held at NYC hotspot, Runway, and hosted by Malcolm Harris of Designers for Dafur.

Guest panelists included:

SELITA EBANKS/VICTORIA SECRETS SUPERMODEL

J. ALEXANDER /AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL

TIA WILLIAMS/ AUTHOR & BEAUTY EXPERT

MEMSOR KAMARAKE / VIBE FASHION DIRECTOR

TYSON P. / CELEBRITY WARDROBE STYLIST

ANDRE J / VOGUE COVER MODEL

MALCOLM HARRIS / FASHION DESIGNER

Overall, the event was very informative. Outside of this one guy (who must've smoked a blunt filled with Manifest Destiny) the energy in the room was one of community and ambition with alot of greatness expected and soon to be realized.

Check out the slide show below for visuals of the event.

Damn... THat's Hot!

Yo, Last weeks party was off the CHAIN!!!!

The Hotboys really out did themselves. Drummers, Skrippas, free drinks?.... WHAT!

The party was hot, and we have the pics to prove it!

Enjoy!

Dafur NOW

Malcom Harris is the BOMB(-dot com - for those of us just reaching 2007) . i mean look at how Baird Jones is trying desperately to get just a few words out of hmmm...... Page Six is relentless.

THE RELEASE OF DON CHEADLE’s “DARFUR NOW” was an absolute success.

TheBleuMag was cordially invited to attend the event held at the exclusive Socialista lounge (owners include Harvey Weinstein and Sting) for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres to celebrate the release of Don Cheadle’s co-produced “DARFUR NOW”. Darfur Now is a story of hope in the midst of one of humanity's darkest hours: a call to action for people everywhere to end the catastrophe unfolding in Darfur, Sudan. In this documentary, the struggles and achievements of six different individuals from inside Darfur and around the world bring to light the tragedy in Sudan and show how the actions of one person can make a difference to millions.
.

The event was hosted by Prayers For Darfur, Designers For Darfur, Socialista, Ford Models and Sagatiba Cachaca Brazil, and it was held to benefit such charities as Save Darfur Coalition & Doctors Without Borders

Some of the event highlights were : Attendees participated in the launch of the documentary “Prayers for Darfur”. There was a designated filming area where attendees had an opportunity to contribute prayers and well wishes on behalf of the people of Darfur. Footage will later be featured with the likes of contributors George Clooney, Don Cheadle, U.N. Peace Ambassador Angelina Jolie, politicians, and other concerned citizens just like you.

O.. and Miss Jay from Americas Next Top Model as well as Style and Cultural con Andre J (yo.. Ad French Vogue Cover Model and cast member of Sex and the City the Move) .

YO! Birthdays, Holidays, and alot of Geighs.... Thats what this past week meant to me. The Bleu Boyz were all over the place. But only a few of them had on costumes. I mean, outside of their regular "im tryin to be like 50cent even tho Kany'es the dime" outfits.... *grin* If you want costumes, lookie righta he-uhr. Other than that, enjoy Last weeks party. :)
